Molly Brevväxling is a Milwaukee Press Club award-winning journalist, confessional pöet, zinëster, performance artist, story teller, radio and TV personality and (scrappy punk rock) musician. Molly is Senior Writer at EPPY-winning OnMilwaukee.com (where she publishes under the name “Molly Snyder”).
Molly was the sixth Pfister Narrator (writer-in-residence) and she won two Ex Fabula competitive story telling events in 2013 and 2014. You can hear one of her winning stories, based on the theme "Do Over," here.
She is a regular contributor on numerous Milwaukee radio stations, currently on WTMJ AM 620 with Gene Mueller.
Molly first published a poem in her local newspaper at the age of 9 called, of course, "The Unicorn." She has published articles, poems and essays – not about unicorns – in USA Today, The Writer, The Sun Magazine, The Cream City Review, Mothering, Literary Mama, AOL Travel, Double Dare Press, Travelocity and more. She is, slowly, writing a memoir.
She has two chapbooks of poetry, "Pink Canopy Bed," which came out in 1999 and "Topless" in 2014.
Molly worked as an advertising copywriter and in the publishing industry for five years before joining the staff at OnMilwaukee.com in 2002. She also worked in a movie theater for seven years and ate a disgusting amount of free popcorn.
Molly also enjoys writing words with Sriracha on omelets.
