Molly Brevväxling![]() "Let's talk about sex, shall we?"
Molly Brevväxling is a Wisconsin Press Club award-winning journalist, confessional pöet, zinëster, performance artist, radio and TV personality and (scrappy punk rock) musician. Molly is Senior Writer at EPPY-winning OnMilwaukee.com (where she publishes under the name “Molly Snyder”). Molly was the sixth Pfister Narrator (writer-in-residence). Molly first published a poem in her local newspaper at the age of 9 called, of course, "The Unicorn." She has published articles, poems and essays – not about unicorns – in USA Today, The Writer, The Sun Magazine, The Cream City Review, Mothering, Literary Mama, AOL Travel, Double Dare Press, Travelocity and more. She is, slowly, writing a memoir. Molly worked as an advertising copywriter and in the publishing industry for five years before joining the staff at OnMilwaukee.com in 2002. She also worked in a movie theater for seven years and ate a disgusting amount of free popcorn. Molly also enjoys writing words with Sriracha on omelets. |
Royal Brevväxling![]() Sometimes even Lefties look to the right.
Royal Brevväxling is a writer, educator, zinëster, pöet and visual artist. His writing and research interests develop from themes in cultural studies, critical pedagogy and through examining the academic practices in "basic" writing as a locus for class, racial and gender injustice. Royal blogs, posts travel writing and reports on education and social justice issues at the Milwaukee-based webzine CriticalWork. Royal has taught writing, cultural studies and service learning courses at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and taught research writing, "basic" writing and media communications courses at a number of other schools, including Minneapolis Community and Technical College and Saint Cloud State University in Minnesota and, currently, at Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. A photo-essayist, Royal is currently working on a series of photos documenting the ever-changing Lake Michigan; that is, when not adding to the ongoing series of "Alley TVs." |
